Abstract:   (1198 Views)
Chronic pelvic pain probably is a symptom most frequently complained of by women to a gynecologist.
Too frequently this leads to a laparatomy from whkh either no benefit is derived, or the pain is actually made worse.
The purpose of thls paper is to reevaluate the cause and etiology of chronic pelivc pain, not only to save unnecessary and expensive surgery, but most effectively to rid the patient of her symptoms.
An intimate cooperation between Gynecologist, Urologist, Psychiatrist, and internist is mandatory to make a clear diagnosis prior to any surgical intervention.
