Background and Aims: Rheumatoid Arthritis is a progressive disease that can lead to destruction and deformity of involved joints. Different therapeutic regiments and ways of treatment for this disease are presented which may reduce symptoms and signs of disease but have many complications, as well.
Materials and methods: In the present article, the case of a patient with chronic seronegative rheumatoid arthritis with progressive coarse, resistant to routine therapy is reported who was treated with a combination of specific diets, vitamins, and low dose of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drags.
Results: The patient, with 35 years of history, responded rapidly to this way of therapy. Her joints limitation regressed significantly and the diameter of her legs decreased so that after 10 days she was able to walk without help.
Conclusion: This report may result in directing researchers’ and physicians’ attention to consumption of diets with greater anti-oxidants and abstinence of inflammation-inducing diets in favor of reducing inflammation and signs of rheumatoid arthritis and correction of tolerance immune cells whose derangement is the main pathogenesis of this disease making use of in vivo cell therapy.
