The scientific journal "Research in Medicine" (Pezhoohesh dar Pezeshki), operating within the framework of Open Access, defines its copyright policy based on the following principles:
Authors' Rights
  • Copyright Ownership: Authors publishing in this journal retain full copyright of their work. This means that authors hold all exclusive rights to their work after publication.
  • Journal's Role: The journal's role is solely to provide a platform for peer review, editing, publication, and accessibility. No exclusive rights are transferred from the author to the journal.
Rights Transfer and Licensing
  • Grant of License to the Journal: By submitting and having their article accepted for publication, authors grant the journal "Research in Medicine" a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, and make the final published version of the article fully accessible on the journal's website and in all databases and indexes (including DOAJ).
  • License to the Public: All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) . Under this license:
    • Any individual or entity is free to share, copy, distribute, translate, or even build upon the article for any purpose, including commercial purposes.
    • The sole condition is that appropriate credit must be given to the original source and author(s), and any modifications must be indicated.
Author Responsibilities
By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors confirm that:
  1. The submitted work is their original, first-hand work.
  2. If they have used the work of others (images, tables, lengthy quotations), they have obtained the necessary permissions to publish those elements under the CC BY 4.0 license and have properly cited the sources.
  3. The manuscript has not been previously published in another journal and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
  4. All contributing authors are aware of and have consented to the final content of the manuscript and its submission to the journal.
Self-Archiving and Reuse
  • Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version (Publisher's Version/PDF) of their article immediately upon publication in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic social networks, and other platforms. This is permitted under the CC BY 4.0 license and helps increase the visibility and citations of the work.
  • Users of the articles (readers, researchers) are required to comply with the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license, the most important of which is proper and complete attribution to the author(s) and the original source.
