The scientific journal "Research in Medicine" (Pezhoohesh dar Pezeshki), in order to ensure the long-term preservation of scientific achievements and guarantee permanent access to articles, has defined its archiving policy based on international standards.
Importance of Digital Preservation
Long-term preservation of research resources is of paramount importance for the permanence of human knowledge. Digital preservation goes beyond simple website backup and involves curation and management processes to ensure content remains usable over time, despite technological changes.
Digital Archives
To ensure permanent access and preservation, the articles published in this journal are continuously deposited and indexed in the following digital archives:
1. National Databases
  • SID (Scientific Information Database): All journal articles are indexed and archived in SID as one of the national trusted archives. SID, aiming for the long-term preservation and accessibility of Iranian scientific productions, maintains a complete collection of the journal's articles in its digital archive.
  • ISC (Islamic World Science Citation Center): Journal articles are indexed and archived in the ISC database as one of the most important scientific archives in the region. ISC, by covering scientific productions of Islamic countries, plays a significant role in preserving these works.
  • Magiran Database: The journal collaborates with Magiran, which indexes and archives a collection of Iranian scientific journals, and all articles are accessible and retrievable in this database.
2. Journal Website
All articles are available as full-text (PDF) on the official journal website at pejouhesh.sbmu.ac.ir. The journal's website is hosted and supported by YektaWeb company, and regular data backups are performed periodically.
3. Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences Digital Repository
As the journal's owner, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences is committed to the long-term preservation of all published articles in its digital repositories. This ensures the preservation of the university's scientific heritage and sustainable access to its research outputs.
Self-Archiving Policy
In addition to archiving by the journal, authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version (Publisher's Version/PDF) of their articles immediately upon publication in institutional repositories, personal websites, and academic social networks. This is permitted under the CC BY 4.0 license, and no embargo period is applied.
