Journal History
The Journal of Research in Medicine is one of the oldest and most reputable scientific journals in the field of medical sciences in Iran. It was established with the aim of advancing medical knowledge, promoting high-quality research, and providing a platform for the exchange of ideas among researchers, academics, and students.
The journal began its publication in 1974 (1353 AH) and, over more than four decades, has played a significant role in enhancing the scientific standing of the medical community by publishing peer-reviewed research articles in various areas of basic and clinical medical sciences. On October 23, 1994 (1 Aban 1373 AH), the journal was officially accredited as a scientific-research journal by the Commission for the Evaluation of Scientific Journals of Iran. Since then, it has been published quarterly.
The journal is owned and published by the School of Medicine, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and its editorial office is located within the same faculty. With the support of a distinguished editorial board, a rigorous peer-review process, and adherence to ethical publishing standards, the Journal of Research in Medicine continuously strives to maintain and enhance the scientific quality of its publications.
The journal is indexed in several reputable national and international databases, making its articles widely accessible to researchers and professionals in the field. These databases include ISC, Google Scholar, Magiran, and SID, among others.
