A 55 years old male farmer was referred to the Medical Mycology Department, School of Public Health, Tehran University with an ulcerative lesion on his left index finger and nodular lesions along the lymphatic of the left hand.  The Patient explained that he had been injured by a wire entanglement,in the site of lesion, about one year before.  Direct microscopic examination of the biopsy material was negative but Sporo­thrix schenckii was grown on all of the culture media at room temperature. After inoculation of filamentous colony to tests of Hamster, in the section of this orga budding cells and asteroid body were seen, and the dimorphic colony of Sporothrix schenckii were isolated in culture.
