2 cases with cutaneous and pulmonary Nocardiosis were referred to the Medical Mycology department, Public Health Faculty of Tehran University during 4 months from June - September 1985. Case I who was 17 year- old, carpet weaver and living in Kerman bad cutaneous Nocardiosis that were manifested as cellulitis, abscess, ulcerative lesion on his neck. This patient didn't show any evidence of Nocardia infection in other parts of body. The examination of the lesion showed Nocardia asteroides. Case 2 was 40 year - old man, painter, who was resident in Tehran, with pemphigus vulgaris diagnosis and had been treated with oral corticosteroids. After recovery of this lesion, pulmonary infection became apparent. BK examination of sputum and Tuberculin skin test were negative, but with clinical sign of Tuberculosis he was treated with anti TB drugs but didn't respond to them. His sputum was sent to the Medical Mycology Laboratory,Public Health Faculty of Tehran University and after the examination Nocardia asteroides was isolated, but he died before any appropriate treatment could be started. His family refused to give permission for autopsy.
