Computed tomography is the method of choice for initial evaluation of pa tints with potential suprasellar masses. In our ex­perience during the last 2 years C.T. has proved reliable for detecting or rulling out the presence of a suprasellar mass. 
It shows the direction and degree of parasellar extension and the presence of any calcific or cystic component of the le­sion. When C.T. was negative furthere diagnostic procedure was unrewarding, when C.T. was positive additional studies have been required in some cases to rule out aneurisme.
