other بررسی اپیدمیولوژیک گواتر در شهریار بین رشته ای ( مدیریت آموزشی، تحقیقات آموزشی، آموزش پزشکی ) Interdisciplinary (Educational Management, Educational research, Statistics, Medical education پژوهشی Original <span style="font-family:tahoma;">به منظور پیشگیری گواتر در منطقه ی شهریار، ابتدا شیوع بیماری و عوامل احتمالی مؤثر در ایجاد آن در این منطقه بررسی شد. 367 خانوار که از طریق نمونه گیری تصادفی انتخاب شده بودند از نظر وضع اقتصادی، اجتماعی، فرهنگی و نیز از نقطه نظر درجه ی گواتر مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. هم چنین میزان یُد دفعی از طریق ادرار و میزان ید اب کشاورزی و آب آشامیدنی اندازه گیری شد. بررسی مصرف مواد غذایی نشان داد که بیش از 60 درصد خانوارهای مورد بررسی نتوانسته اند کالری، کلسیم، ریبوفلاوین و ویتامین <span dir="LTR">A</span> مورد نیاز خود را دریافت دارند و در مقابل بیش از 80 درصد خانوارهای مورد بررسی توانسته اند پروتئین، آهن، تیامین و ویتامین <span dir="LTR">C</span> مورد نیاز خودرا دریافت دارند. در این بررسی ارتباط معکوس معنی داری بین شیوع و شدت گواتر با میزان ید آب آشامیدنی و کشاورزی و نیز با میزان ید دفعی از طریق ادرار وجود داشت. هم چنین ارتباط معنی داری بین شیوع و شدت گواتر با مدت اقامت خانوارهای مورد بررسی در منطقه وجود داشت. این بررسی یافته های قبلی را که نشان می داد کمبود ید دریافتی عامل اصلی گواتر است، تأیید می کند. البته وجود عوامل مساعد کننده ی دیگر را نباید از نظر دور داشت. </span> In order to start a goitre prevention program in Shahriar area, a survey of the disease prevalence and possible contributory factors was conducted. Three hundred and sixty seven households chosen randomly, were surveyed as to their economic, sociocultural and goitre status. Urinary excretion of iodine and iodine content of water in the area was measured.&nbsp;Food consumption survey demonstrated that ever60%of the families were unable to meet their requirements for calories, calcium, riboflavin and vitamin A. On the other hand over 80 percent met their requirement for protein, iron, thiamin and ascorbic acid. In this survey a correlation was not found between goitre prevalence and severity with total caloric intake but a significant reverse correlation was observed between goitre prevalence and severity on the&middot; one hand, with iodine content in the drinking and irrigation water as wen as urinary iodine excretion, on the other. Also, significant correlation existed between goitre prevalence and severity with length of stay in the area.
