SUMMARY
In this study the result of the treatment of 41 patients from one month to 15 years old during 1984 to 1994 in neurosurgical department of Loghman -eHakim Medical Center is evaluated. All patients have been managed into 2 groups; The first, including of 36 patients that have been operated by aspiration technique and the second group including of 7 patients were operated by resection S patients undergone primary resection; and 2 patients were operated by aspiration technique first and then followed by resection. In this study about Germ responsible for, location of abscess and age of the patients and complications also is discussed. Finally it becomes reveal that aspiration associated with medical therapy is the best way of treatment of brain abscess.

Summary
In order to determine the immunity state against Rubella in 10-19 year old women in urban and rural area of Chahar -Mahal Bakhtiari province of IRAN in act 1992. We have done a cross sectional seroepidemiologic study in 1347 women.
This study showed a high rate of immunity against Rubella in this province. About 90.5% of studied population had protective antibody titer against Rubella with H.I Method. This high rate of immunity was due to spontaneous occurance of disease.
According to similar results of previous studies that were done in this subject, it seems necessary to make attention to prevalence of Rubella, in other part of country.
With the increase of age the rate of immune persons was increased as well, and rural area in comparison to urban area has benefited from higher percentage of immunity.
In the cases we studied the highest titer of immunitywas 1/40 -1/80, and the lowest was≻1/640
It is recommended that although high level of spontaneous immunity against Rubella, in order to prevent congenital Rubella syndrome and its complications the doing a test for anti Rubella antibody among the premarriage routine test is included and the negative cases should guided for Rubella vaccination.

<Abstract>
SUMMARY
The testes of five wistar rats 2 months after bilateral vasectomy was compared with those of shamoperated controls. Aims were to determine whether there are any changes in the wistar rat testis after vasectomy. Two testis in the vasectomized group displayed histological changes, which consisted of depletion of germ cells, vacuolation in the epithelium, folding of basement membrane of seminiferous tubule and fusion of spermatids.
Morphometric analysis of testicular elements in the two groups reveald a significant reduction in the weight and the volume of testes (14.02% and 12.96% respectively); and the mean number of spermatogonia, pachyten spermatocyte, round spermatid and elongated spermatid in the post vasectomy group as compared with the control group (P<0.05). In the other hand, there were no significant changes in the mean number of sertoli cell, seminiferous tubular diameter, luminal diameter, epithelial thickness; and volume density of seminiferous tubule, tubular epithelium, luminal tubule, interstitial space, normal tubule, tubule in stages VII & VIII and testicular capsule in the post vasectomy group, as compared with control group.

SUMMARY
Since 1923, the type I diabetic patients are treating with injections of insulin. Mortality of these patients decreased, comparing with noninsulin using patients, but many of them developed complications of diabetes mellitus, like nephropathy, retinopathy and neuropathy.
The choice for treating this diseas and preventing its complications is pancrease transplantation, The 1st pancreas transplantation in Iran was done hy our team at 5th of June 1994, for a 22year old man, which was taken from his mother. We anastomosed the artery and vein to right iliac artery and inferior vena cava, respectively and

SUMMARY
Spinal cord compression due to extramedullary hematopoietic tissue although very rare, is a well known phenomenon. The first case of spinal cord compression due to E.M.H.P. tissue in thalassemia was reported in 1954 by Gatto et al. Sinc then about 59 cases have been reported in literature. We present a new case who has been hospitalized in neurologic ward in Loghman -e- Hakim Hospital of Tehran. We used CT- myelography as diagnostic procedure. We had good result with blood transfusion therapy and-it was no need to surgical procedures. Other neurological complications of thalassemia that has been reported in literature include:
Low back pain, radicular pain, episodic pain syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, facial nerve palsy, sudden blindness, reversible hypoxic brain edema, mental retardation especially in alpha thalassemia, cerebral infarction and hemiparesis.
