Chronic pelvic pain probably is a symptom most frequently complained of by women to a gynecologist.
Too frequently this leads to a laparatomy from whkh either no benefit is derived, or the pain is actually made worse.
The purpose of thls paper is to reevaluate the cause and etiology of chronic pelivc pain, not only to save unnecessary and expensive surgery, but most effectively to rid the patient of her symptoms.
An intimate cooperation between Gynecologist, Urologist, Psychiatrist, and internist is mandatory to make a clear diagnosis prior to any surgical intervention.

It has been shown and confirmed that adrenal cortical tumours synthesize and secrete oestrogens more than normal adrenals and eventually produce feminization in some cases.
In addition to the above mentioned findings the lack of conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone has been shown to be the main biochemical disorder which causes the lack of hair growth in public area in some cases of testicular feminization.

La tumeur sur le plan histologique, est formee par les deux composantes, carcino-et sarcomateuse.
Malgre l'inquietants spect clinique, radiologique, chirurgicale et d'anatomo-pathologique, l'evolution est lente et les metastases sont tardives.

Cigarette smoking causes injury of coronary arteries as well as other arteries. Sudden death is more frequent in heavy smokers than in non smokers. Studies showed that dangerous arrhythmias will be the result of effect of nicotine when injected in the animals. Carbon-monooxide is also dangerous for man when it is produced by smoking.
The prevention of heart disease will be more satisfactory when Doctt)rs will advice patients on smoking and other risk factors.
This advice could become one of the most rewarding activitis in medical practice. Those people who have already coronary diseases must be more careful of danger of smoking.

A case mongolism due to "hereditary translocation ·· is presented and discussed. The mother of the patient showed a Karyogram with 45-XX and G/D translocation. She had no stigmata. She had an abortio􀀾 when she was 19 years old.
In the second pregnancy the amniotic fluid was gained by amniocentesis. The Karyogram showed G/D translocation mongolism. The Karyogram of the child's father was normal 46-XY.
The next off spring of these parents is expected to be either normal or a carrier as its mother is.

SUMMARY
The foliowing cardiac effects may be attributed to thyroxin:
1-Thyroxin augments all anaerobic processes in the body includ::ng the heart, and decreases the glycogen content of the heart ( 1, 2, 5, 27). The resistance of the heart to anoxia is increased in hyperthyroidism ( 25).

2- Thyroxin influences the cardiac weight and prevents cardiac atrophy (3, 8, 10, 11, 19, 20, 21, 30, 33).
3-Thyroxin stimulates synthesis of a new cardiac protein and possibly a newcardiac myosin (I 0, 16, 25, 35, 36, 38).
4-Thyroxin influences the inherent contractility of the heart muscle, and this influence is inden􀂡ndent of the norepinephrine stores and the alterations in the high energy phosphate stores ( 6). Thyroxin has an inotropic and a chronotropic action on heart muscle (14).
5-Manifestations of the thyroxin effects on the heart are the same as the manifestations of the stimulation of beta-adrenergic receptors. These effects could be blocked by beta-adrenergic blocking agents ( 32). These beta-adrenergic receptors are probably adenyl cyclase (31).
6-Increased levels of epinephrine and norepinephrine, and stimulation of beta receptors may be involved in the manifestations of thyroxin effects in hyperthyroidism. ( 14)

This is an artic.:le about the pharyngeal lymphoid tissue. so called waldyer's ring. I have tride to give a rather clear discription of Its functi<"m, especially pointing to Its role in protecting the body against the infections by promoting the antibodv production and lymphocite formation.
In the view of these functions a clear cut indications and contraindications of adenotonsillectomy has been stated.
There is also a hint to precaution, and compli..:ations of the operation.
In this article two points have been emphasized: 1- The role of the pharyngeal tis􀂊ue in immunoglobulin produc!ion and the effect of tonsil operation on this function.
2- The effect of the upper resr, iratory tract allergy in mimicking U.R.T. infections and what are the effect of adenotonsillecromy in the presence of the allergic manifestations.
In my view the statement made bv pediatric allergists holds its groi.mds in every case of adenotonsillectomy accompanied by U.R.T. allergy it is better to treat the allergy first and wait for 6 months. if after this is done, there is any indication for the operation then go on to perform it.
