The incidence of genital tuberculosis is not the same in different parts of ·world. It depends on the incidence of tuberculosis of other organs specially lungs in the area. In India the incidence is very high, but in U.S.A. and Germany it is very low. In our country the patients refer mostly from the north and northwest.
5'7<- to 1W'/<- of sterile patients have genital tuberculosis. Sterility is usually the main com-plaint of these patients when th€y search medical advice. This disease affects the tubes easily.
In laboratory diagnosis the culture of the endcmetrial tissue and menstrual blood is very important. Patohlogy and Radiology help a great deal to make the correct diagnosis.
In our review we followed 400 sterile patients of whom 40 had genital tuberculosis (10%).
