Since the ordinary tests for diagnosis chronic amebic colitis looks to be unsufficient. We try to design the following study. Our study seeks the importanc.;e of "IFA" (Indirect Immuno Fluorescent Aniti body). Among 145 patients with amebic colitis Entamoeba hystolitica observed with reapeted and specified tests.
In searh of serologic tests, antibody range in 20
patients who had amebic colitis was between 1/80 -1/640. In patients that had other chronic bowel disease antibody titer was between 0-1/80. Specificity and sensitvity rate "IF A" test in chronic amebic colitis in diagnostic titer 1/160 was inorder 90% and 100 % and in diagnostic titer 1/80 was in order 100 %and 79.7%.
In diagnostic titer of 1/80 the result of serologic test should be considered in relation with clinical signs and endoscopic observation.
