SUMMARY
Ten cases of cystic meningioma are reported and the literature is reviewed. The cyst formation with meningioma is rarely seen and are frequently associated with glial or metastatic tumor. The computerized tomography appearance of our cases also resembling glial and metastatic appearance of our cases also resembling glial and metastatic tumor. The incidence of microcystic and cystic changes in about 1. 63 % , 2 % and 10 % in the literature and in our study is 6.2 % of the tumors. Histological pattern is predomi nantly meningotheliomatous type. · For prevention of relapses, it is necessary to remove not only the solid portion but also the entire wall of the cyst.
