A Case of Cryptococcal meningitis was diagnosed in a 22 year old Pigeon -fancier from Mazandaran prm ince of Iran (close to the Caspian sea). The patient was treated with systemic 5-nuoc to,;in and amphotericin B together with intrathecal injection of ampho. B. Further investigations showed an abnormal reduction in the number ofT-lymphocytes, while humoral immunity was maintained in the normal levels. Complement fixation test detected the complement fixing antibodies of lgG group in the C S F. Clinical improvement and response to the antimycotics were evident from 50- 60th cla of treatment, and total duration of treatment was 100 days.
