Abstract
Background and Aim: Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical substance that is used in large amounts to produce polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Exposure to low levels of BPA can lead to a variety of health outcomes. Stem cells are undifferentiated cells with the ability to divide and differentiate into different cell types. It is important to investigate the effects of BPA on stem cells.
 Materials and Methods: A comprehensive study was conducted on BPA and its effects on stem cells by searching the keywords including Stem cells, Bisphenol A, Obesity in the medical valid databases, mainly PubMed. Among the collected papers, articles that are the most relevant to the purposes of writing this article were selected and studied.
Conclusion: It seems that BPA increases autophagy induction in stem cells and also stimulates stem cell differentiation into adipocytes.
