Saphenous vein autograft had opened a new erra in revascularization of mycardium in cases with severe angina pectoris. This has attracted the attention of many medical enters so that a rae of 75􀐌95% relief of pain has been obtained. 92% of patients have demonstrated sings of cure of choronary iSJChemia and have moved to group 1 from those of group 2, 3, and 4 (dassif[ca,tion of American Heart Association) this hllis been considered good results. It shO'llld be born in mind, however, that the aorto chronary by pass procedures are temporary palliatives treatment and do not prevent the progress of chronary ateroselerosis.
The indirect revascularizing procedures such as those of win berg and Effler are interesting procedure, as well, so that there has been over 55% patency of the graft in one sided internal mammary artery after several years proved by chronary angiegraphy and 40% in bilateral grafts in 46% of cases, one the grafts were patent in those who underwent bilateral graf!t. This is itself is a considerable success.
