Nous presentons un cas d'hematopoiese extramedullaire chez une fille de 16 ans. Cette fille etait attainte d'une thalassemie mineure. Le foyer d'hematopoiese extramedullaire se presentait comme une masse tumorale dans le mediastin posterieur. Avant !'operation, le diagnostic differentiel des tumeurs mediastinales et surtout des tumeurs neurogeniques - a ete evoque.
